| Oct 16 : IRONCOACH in Kona
- SUSAN WALLIS battled the ferocious winds at IRONMAN HAWAII and powered through a strong run to finish 10th in the 50-54AG with a 14hours 5min clocking. | Sept 12 : BUSY DAY FOR IRONCOACH ATHLETES !
- RICHARD EVANS competed in his FIRST IRONMAN in Madison, Wisconsin. After a decent swim, he powered through the bike in just under 6 hours, then brought it home with a solid marathon to finish in 12hours 47min. Richard has only competed in a handful of triathlons and did his FIRST half-Ironman back in June, so keep an eye out for this talented competitor !
- DAN LEHMAN took a break from his Ironman Florida build-up to test his fitness at the Duke Half Ironman (NC). Backing up a solid swim and aggressive ride with a super run on a TOUGH course, Dan crossed the line in 5hours 18min. This placed him FIFTH in the 40-44 AG. Watch out Panama City, Dan is running well !
- BOBBY BILES tackled the unique "multi-stage" triathlon known as Survival of the Shawangunks, or "SOS" (New Paltz, NY). With a much-improved swim and excellent run fitness, Bobby moved up to FIRST in age category and 12th overall ! His 5hours 1min result nearly placed him among the elite group of athletes to crack the elusive 5hour barrier.
- COACH JAY also travelled to SOS with Bobby. After a year-long hiatus from competition, and coming off a 7-week training period, Coach Jay managed a 19th place finish (5hours 14min). Watch for Jay to make his "comeback" next Spring at the North Carolina Triathlon Series.
